Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening.
Today, Tuesday, March 24, in our news segment, we will talk about an issue that had been overlooked, but that regained momentum yesterday, Monday, March 23, after reappearing at the center of the legislative debate.
That’s right—we are talking about one of the flagship projects of the 4T: the so-called “Plan B” of the electoral reform.
On the night of Monday, March 23, 2026, the coordinator of Morena in the Senate, Ignacio Mier, reported that the necessary adjustments to the proposal have already been made. Therefore, the draft ruling will be circulated in the coming hours, and it is expected to be discussed and approved on the same day in committees.
Following a meeting at the Palacio Nacional, in which President Claudia Sheinbaum participated along with coordinators of allied parties, Mier stated that technical aspects of the document had been resolved.
He explained that the changes focused on legislative technique and on the uniformity of the transitory articles of the reform, which includes constitutional modifications in matters of republican austerity.
