Theme: God’s heart for all peoples and the church’s call to send.
1. God’s Mission Has Always Been Global
Read: Genesis 12:1–3
God called Abraham not simply to bless one family, but so that “all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” From the beginning, God’s mission included every nation, language, and people group.
Reflect:
How does this passage shape the purpose of God’s people?
In what ways can a local church participate in God’s global mission?
2. Jesus Commands the Church to Make Disciples of All Peoples
Read: Matthew 28:18–20
Jesus’ Great Commission is not only about making converts—it is about making disciples among all nations (ethnē: peoples, ethnic groups). Many communities in Africa have vibrant Christian presence, while others remain with little or no access to the gospel.
Reflect:
What is the difference between evangelizing where churches already exist and reaching places with little gospel access?
How should this affect church priorities?
3. People Cannot Believe Unless Someone Is Sent
Read: Romans 10:13–15
Paul lays out a sequence: people call → because they believe → because they hear → because someone preaches → because someone is sent.
Missionaries are not separate from the church’s mission—they are an expression of the church’s obedience.
Key Question:
Who is responsible for sending? According to this passage, mission involves both goers and senders.
4. God Desires Worship From Every People Group
Read: Revelation 7:9–10
John’s vision includes worshipers from every nation, tribe, people, and language. Mission is ultimately about God receiving worship from all peoples.
The work among unreached peoples is not only humanitarian or cultural—it is doxological: oriented toward the worship of God.
Reflect:
What would it mean for your church to live with Revelation 7 in view?
How can prayer, giving, and sending contribute?
Application
Learn — Study unreached peoples and pray with informed awareness.
Pray — Ask God to raise up workers and open doors.
Send — Support missionaries through encouragement, finances, logistics, and long-term partnership.
Go — Remain open to whether God may call you directly.
